The Ultimate Showdown is back and being held in one of the strongest wrestling areas in Pennsylvania -  Mt. Pleasant in Westmoreland County!  The battle for the BTC Belt and Super Trophy will be followed up by a one day dual event on Sunday, 1/29!  The facility is an ideal location for families to enjoy which includes a full concession area as well as a kids play area.

Registration:

  • Cost is $500 per team

  • $100 deposit to hold spot (non-refundable)​

  • Payment in full required by 1/22/23

  • Once payment or deposit is made, please email breatkthechainswrestling@gmail.com to indicate Division and Team Name.

Divisions & Weight Classes:

  • K-4th Grade (+1 lb allowance)

    • 45, 50, 55, 60, 65. 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 120​

  • K-8th Grade (+1 lb allowance)

    • 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 128, 136, 160​

 

Weigh-ins:

  • Early Weigh-ins:  Saturday, January 28th , 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm ($20 per wrestler)

  • Regular Weigh-ins: Sunday January 29th 7:00 am to 8:00 am​

 

*WEIGH-INS FROM THE OPEN TOURNAMENT ON 1/28 WILL BE HONORED*

Match Length:

  • K-4th Grade: 1:00 periods

  • K-8th Grade: 1:15 periods

​

Awards:​

  • Team Awards for Top 4 Teams in each division

  • Team Champions receive individual awards

  • Outstanding Wrestler Award for every team

​

Admission:

$10 for adult

$5 for students

5 & under free

*limited bleacher seating - bag/camp chairs encouraged

 

**Sportzone Mt. Pleasant offers a fantastic play area for siblings to enjoy while waiting for their wrestler to compete.  It is an additional $7 per child payable to the Sportzone directly.  See attendant at front desk for details!

 

Rules:

  • Modified scholastic rules used for all divisions. Tournament will be double elimination or round robin.

  • Tournament Director reserves the right to combine weight classes upon need.

  • All officials’ decisions are final

  • No video reviews

  • Any disrespectful conduct towards wrestlers, adults, staff, or officials will not be tolerated and can result in removal from the tournament

Challenges:

  • Anyone wishing to challenge the age or experience level of a wrestler must present physical proof prior to or during the tournament.

  • Any wrestler found wrestling in a division that they are not eligible for, by age or experience level, will be removed from the tournament.

  • Final decision is left to the discretion of the Tournament Director
